Dylan for President

Dylan Paul Zinser Katz was born at about 5:15 am on the 4th of February, 2006. He arrived a pinkish shade of healthy, unscathed but for a dose of road rash crowning his fresh face. This blog is a place for family and friends to share images, media and commentary surrounding Dylan's exciting first years. This will, over time, become an archive and as well as a forum.

Passover, Easter & Rice Ceremonies!

Dylan is one multi-cultural baby. He went to Passover at the Sterns (and sat next to his friend Logan - you know the one wearing the matching matzo bib), Easter at the Winters and the Willards and to Landon's 6 month rice ceremony.

Dylan also went to his first theme park - Sea World - where we met the Mays on their family vacation.

We also enjoyed another visit from Grandma Lu - one of our fun outings was going to Crystal Cove where Dylan really enjoyed the tide pools.

Dylan is also enjoying his weekly swim lessons and he is starting to stand up more and use his push toy for walking. Dylan is choosing the books that he wants us to read to him. Recently we were going through one of his favorite books and he pointed to the mobile on the page and I said "mobile" and then he pointed up to the mobile Uncle Adam made him - so cute! He is now petting Joe more than pulling on her tail and his favorite nap time music is on a personalized CD from his great grandparents Will & Joan. It has Dylan's name in the lullabies - he loves it! We had sushi with the Zeller's at Taka on Saturday. When we came back to our house it was Dylan's bedtime (he had been at grandparent camp with Nonny & Pepita all day so he was tired). Claire read him his good night stories - he really likes Claire!

That's all for now . . . we are off for a few days in Palm Springs - a perfect vacation spot for little D. Its a short drive and has a swimming pool!
