Dylan's First Road Trip
Two weeks ago, Dylan's crazy parents took him all the way to Las Vegas for the Help-U-Sell convention. He had fun there with his Grandma Lu and his Auntie Jackie. He even stayed in an extra large room (because a 10 pound baby requires a car load of stuff) with a view of the Bellagio fountains. Dylan attended the regional cocktail party and met all of mom and dad's Help-U-Sell friends. He generally just looked around at everyone and concentrated on everyone's faces - no crying or fussing. Grandma Lu joked that she had not envisioned taking her first grandchild to a casino when he is only 6 weeks old.
Important Visitors
Oh - and right before we went to Vegas Katie Wagner visited Dylan. Some other important visitors have been Kelly's Aunt Becky all the way from St. Louis and Forrest and Sarah all the way from Houston. Dylan sure does have a lot of friends!
Dylan's Favorite Mobile
So, we need to get a picture on this blog to demonstrate Dylan's love of the mobile Uncle Adam made him. We put it above the rocker that we feed him in and he just loves it. If he is getting bored of Mommy's antics, I just position him to look at the mobile and he instantly focusses on it. When he is concentrating he gets real quiet, his eyes get big and his tongue moves in and out of his mouth. He loves the black and white and the complicated patterns that Uncle Adam made.
Dylan's Two Month B-day
So Auntie Xan and Uncle Josh (and Norman too) came to see Dylan on his two month birthday - he really liked them! The evening before Dylan's parents took him to Schooner's first birthday party (Kim Leone Olenicoff's doggie). Schooner seemed to like Dylan - maybe Schooner can come to Dylan's first b-day party!
Mondays at the Katz's
Another one of Dylan's favorite things are his Monday's the the Katz's. Auntie Vickie joins him there as well and he just has one big long play day. The Monday before this one he got to meet longtime friends Andrea and Donald. On Monday's his mom has time to catch up on whatever she needs to do . . . sleep, work, errands. And Pepita not only takes care of Dylan - she also makes yummy food for Kelly. Now that Dylan is smiling regularly each of Norman, Pepita and Vickie take turns trying to get him to smile - we are so lucky that they are all so close and in Dylan's life!
